Meet the KashKick Team: How Brandon Turns Ideas Into Features Members Love

Ever wonder who keeps the KashKick website and apps evolving—ideating new features and getting them built? A lot of that comes down to Brandon Wisnieski, one of our product managers.

Brandon’s based in the Detroit area, where he grew up. He joined KashKick in 2024 as a business analyst before getting promoted to product manager. His background is the perfect mashup for this role. He started in IT for an insurance company, went back to school for his MBA, then pivoted toward marketing and loyalty rewards.

We sat down with Brandon to talk through what a product manager actually does and what he enjoys about working at KashKick.

👨‍💻 So What Does a Product Manager Actually Do?

We’ll be honest: Product manager can be a tough title to understand. So we asked Brandon to walk us through it.

“I do a little of everything,” he said. “But basically, I try to make sure that the train at KashKick is moving forward and moving in the right direction.”

In practice, his job splits into several responsibilities. There’s roadmap planning, where he facilitates discussions about which features to build next. There’s the handoff, where he works with Allison, KashKick’s project manager who oversees the developers, and design lead Paul to help execute these plans. And there’s the coordination, fielding requests from marketing, user acquisition, finance and every other team that needs something built.

🕵️‍♂️ The Part He Loves

The reason Brandon loves this role is simple: He enjoys solving problems.

“I like solutioning,” he explained. “Maybe we know users aren’t doing something they should be, so I get to work with the team to collaborate on what the possible solutions are. It’s fun to work as a team to figure out the best way to address it.”

A recent example shows how that plays out. When analyzing user reviews on Trustpilot, Google Play and the App Store, one complaint kept coming up: the pending period. It could take weeks for players’ earnings to get validated—and for the highest-value goals, the wait could take even longer.

Brandon dug into the data and worked with the team to redesign how payouts are timed and processed. The focus was on improving the experience in those first few critical days after signup, when a fast win for the user matters most.

🥷 Why the Mission Clicks

Ask Brandon what he likes most about KashKick and it comes back to doing good work. A big part of why he joined was that the values lined up.

“It’s not just about squeezing as much money as you can out of people,” he said. “We win when our partners win and when our members win.”

That mindset shapes how the team picks its priorities. Rather than chasing whatever makes the most money fastest, the focus is on the user experience.

“The user’s not the product—the user is a partner,” he said.

Being part of a small, profitable company also means he gets to play a real role in shaping KashKick, which isn’t something every product manager can say.

“The ability to influence the product and the organization in general is one of the benefits of being a smaller company,” he said. “And in the position I’m in, that’s doubly true.”

We’re glad to have Brandon helping steer the ship and looking out for members at every turn. Next time the app rolls out a new feature, there’s a good chance he had something to do with it.
